Bernadette de Lavernette

"Bernadette de Lavernette" was founded in 1996 by Brigitte Billardey after her trip to Madagascar where she fell in love with the rich explosive freshness of fruits introduced to her by the Malagasy people.

Brigitte combined her family ritual of Jam making passed down by her mother with the fresh produce of Madagascar and experimented with new flavors.

In 2005, Brigitte met the Grand chocolatier Francois Pralus in Madagascar and under his mentorship, gained a reputation for her unique Jams and attracted an internationally acclaimed Parisian department store. This was the start of her Jam's business expansion where she set out to build a factory in Madagascar and grow her own fruits & herbs to be used. She chose the name "Bernadette de Lavernette" for the business, the name of her mother, and the lady that passed down the family recipe to her, and was open for business.

Today, Bernadette de Lavernette Jams & Spreads are sold internationally and hold a reputation of providing the highest quality spreads ever possible. All Jams are hand-made in small batches by specialists in Madagascar using the finest ingredients possible and are free from preservatives and artificial flavors and colors.

most important international gastronomic associations, composed of great
chefs, sommeliers, fine gastronomes and talented producers.
